open rp post
You know the drill. Here's an open post/call me out for all of your Ly RP related needs. Put the character's name in the subject line, get a thread! Feel free to comment with a scenario or post a blank one and I'll come up with something. The muselist is here! |

[After the recent repair of the kitchen - both of which they'd undertaken because of Motochika's Look of Bewildered Disappointment - Kodachi had decided to try and teach Ragna something a little more fiddly, if only because the longer process might stop them from poking at one another.]
[She decided to make dumplings.]
[She'd lined up all the ingredients - meat, vegetables, spices, wrapper - and handed Ragna a knife.]
We must chop everything finely.

Yes, Ma'am. As you wish, Ma'am.
[He said in a deadpan monotone, taking the knife from her. Who did she think he was, some kinda kitchen helper? But fine. She wanted the stuff chopped, he'd do that. It's not like he had anything better to do with his time.
Without further ado, the Grim Reaper got down to the task on hand.]

[He was fortunate that she didn't pick up on his sarcasm. Not because she couldn't, but because she chose not to - because she liked being addressed as "ma'am". Plus, his obedience was a miracle, so she chose not to upset this delicate balance.]
[(When it came to getting what she wanted, Kodachi was willing to hold back a tantrum.)]
I think perhaps this will cheer Motochika-san up.
[He was still brooding over the mast that Kodachi had recently destroyed in a skirmish with other pirates.]

Well, shit. Now that she said that, Ragna had no choice but to put his heart into it, no? Not that he intended to half-ass it or anything, but preparing food for someone was always a little different from cooking just to kill time.
Which didn't stop him from scowling at Kodachi's suggestion.]
If he's still being a whiny baby 'bout that, then it's none of my business.
[Being attached to the ship was one thing, but they had to be realistic about it. Their boat wasn't new, and she'd definitely seen better days. It was only natural that things would start breaking eventually.
... Given their lifestyle it could be said it took longer than expected.]

[Kodachi had been on the Katabami long enough to know that Ragna protested about nearly everything, but a lot of it was all just hot air. All of them respected Motochika, and whenever he was down, his mood permeated through to everyone in the crew.]
[She began to mix the ingredients that were already chopped.]
